Plastic Surgery Report: A Newsletter from Dr. Lipson, 2014
Lipo and a Lift - Recently, Dr. Lipson gave a presentation at Valley Hospital, as part of their community education program, on all aspects of esthetic (cosmetic) breast surgery. Many women suffering from neck and back pain, and shoulder grooving caused by oversized breasts have sought relief through surgery.
Techniques for breast reduction have changed dramatically over the last several years. What was formerly a major, invasive hospital procedure, is now usually performed in our office operating facility, under local anesthesia combined with "twilight sleep", the same method used for colonoscopy.
Known as "Lipo and a Lift", this simplified (and less costly) procedure has been developed by Dr. Lipson to combine a less invasive method of tissue removal with minimal-scar lifting techniques for more natural results. Full sensation and the ability to lactate are preserved in virtually all cases.
Most healthy women with D-cup or larger breasts qualify for this innovative approach.
